System Requirements for Training

Before you descend into training, you'll need to have the right tools and resources. Learn what is needed to succeed in Sun's ERP training by following these guidelines below.


Browser and Flash Plug-in Requirements

Browser Preferences

Please allow your browser to accept cookies.

From your browser Preferences, under the Privacy tab, check "Accept cookies from sites".

Please ensure the following fields are checked/unchecked in your browser Preferences, under the Content tab:

  • Block pop-up windows - unchecked
  • Load images automatically - checked
  • Enable JavaScripts - checked
  • Enable Java - checked

Sun Rays

  • Flash Plugin (version 9.0r151 or greater)
  • If a user is presented with this screen on a Sun Ray, they must choose "Click here to continue.


    • FireFox on a Sun Ray - For the correct Flash plug-in to be installed, please launch FireFox from the Sun Ray launch menu by clicking Launch -> Applications -> Internet -> Firefox.
  • Firefox 2.0.0.16 default browser on Sun Rays inherently has both Pop-up blocker and Flashblock enabled. Students will need to disable both for the courses to run properly.


How to Un-Archive downloaded course using an Apple Mac

If you have downloaded a training course and using an Apple MAC there is a bug when trying to unzip the course file using "Archive Utility". Please use this workaround to unzip your downloaded course file.

  1. Download the ZIP file
  2. From a terminal window run /usr/bin/unzip </download-path/filename.zip>
    For example: /usr/bin/unzip wzi-ibis-e101-en.zip
  3. From Finder open the newly unziped directory
  4. Double click on the index.html file

Sun's Oracle 11i environment has three primary technical specifications for desktop and laptop systems to ensure compatibility, performance and technical support.
